Have you watched Kung Fu Panda? I watched the movie with my kids a day ago. In the show, the panda, an unlikely character, was chosen to be the dragon warrior to defeat the enemy. He had to learn martial arts skills and was initially daunted because he was fat and clumsy. The Panda is known as Po and the wise turtle who selected him as the dragon warrior, is known as Ooguay.
While watching the movie, I was struck by some memorable lines that kept me on the edge of my seat…
Po: “There is no charge for awesomeness - or attractiveness.”
Ooguay: “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.”
Ooguay: “One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it. ”
Ooguay: “There are no accidents.”
Tigress: It is said that the Dragon Warrior can go for months without eating, surviving on the dew of a single gingko leaf and the energy of the universe.
Po: Then I guess my body doesn’t know I’m the Dragon Warrior yet. It’s gonna take a lot more than dew, and, uh, universe juice.
If you’ve not watched it, catch the movie this weekend. Guaranteed to make you laugh! Here’s the trailer, in case you are keen to find out what you are up against….
Enjoy!

We were planning on taking the kids to see it this weekend. I didn’t realize it would be a worthwhile experience for me too. Thanks!
i have just watched this movie too, my favorite is ‘yesterday is history…’.
it is full of Chinese culture elements in the movie, tough the kungfu is not the real Chinese kungfufor fighting.
@Vered, I’m not sure if you notice that much can also be learnt from all the kiddie shows. Have a fabulous time with your kids!
@Edwin, that’s one of my fav quotes too! I couldn’t tell that the kungfu is not that real though…I was just laughing so much!!!
Evelyn,
It seems to be an interesting movie. I have 15 and 13 years old daughters. I wonder if they’ll like it or not.
I thought it looked interesting when I first heard about it. Now it looks like it’s even better than I thought!
That’s great Evelyn - “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.”
Awesome! (and enjoyed the trailer)
Thanks for that - Robin
