I’ve just finished reading “Dare To Win” by Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen and am giving it a 5-star rating.Â
This book is about addressing fears. It starts by asking us that if we all aspire to do great things but why is it that we don’t?Â
Ths answer is that fear holds us hostage and keeps us from taking the necessary actions for success.Â
What makes the book an interesting read is that it cleverly tells many stories to bring across its points. It quotes stories of successes and failures. It helps you expand your imagination on what is really possible. While winning requires focused energy, it holds balanced views about marriage and family, and about the importance of love.Â
I find myself inspired while reading this book. The authors assure that it is possible to conquer our fears. I would think we all have fears, but it is what we do with them that counts. We need to view problems as really opportunities in disguise.
What is probably one of the key highlights of the book to me is that the authors have found that “the awakening of our spiritual side, no matter what the circumstances is always the precursor to future greatness”. Each of the leaders like Albert Einstein, Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Jr, Mother Teresa, etc “felt spritually awakened and believed that his or her accomplishments were directed by a greater force operating spirtually in the universe.”
This being the case, I feel validated that I am on the right journey. I’ve got to admit that I was very taken in by get-rich-quick schemes and make-money-fast programs in the past. However, I have since set these pretty much aside as they do not resonate well with me. I prefer now to focus more of my time and energy to understanding the laws of the universe. Spiritual awakening and the awakening of the mind is the transformation process that I am seeking and am on.
Judging by what is occupying my many friends, I believe that I am on the road less travelled. My friends complain that I sound busier and less contactable. The truth is that I’m not doing much but achieving more inwardly. A good mental strength of the mind is necessary for success. I am taking up the Dare To Win!
